Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst

$90,000 to $125,000 per year, plus bonus

A growing division of a large, established heavy mobile equipment manufacturer is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst (Sr. Buyer) to lead sourcing activities related to new product development and current products in an assigned commodity space, working in tandem with the Director of Sourcing. This role independently develops, implements, and drives category, subcategory, and supplier strategies for non-globally driven categories.

Schedule: Full-time, with a flexible 4-day compressed schedule available (9-hour days Monday through Thursday, 4 hours on Friday).

Compensation: $90,000 to $125,000 per year, based on experience, plus bonus eligibility.

What You'll Do:

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst drives cost reduction initiatives and optimizes supplier relationships, managing $30 to $50 million in commodity spend, developing sourcing strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This includes leading negotiations and executing master supplier agreements, and analyzing purchase volumes within category to drive supplier consolidation, cost reduction, and product portfolio and supplier capability efficiency.

The role manages quoting and negotiations, and leads the supplier selection process for both global and regional strategies on current products and new product development components. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst also mentors, coaches, and trains new Sourcing team members.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing
• Expertise in strategic sourcing and commodity management
• Working knowledge of master supplier agreements and cost breakdown methodologies
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Understanding of timeline development and cost structures
• Willingness to travel 20% to 30%

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to commodities such as castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, or plastics
• APICS certification
