Job Title: Total Rewards Manager
Position Summary:
The Total Rewards Manager oversees the HR Department's efforts to align business objectives with competitive compensation, benefits, and rewards programs. This role focuses on maintaining relationships with various departments to ensure efficient handling of worker's compensation claims and related matters. Additionally, the Total Rewards Manager handles the development, maintenance, and enhancement of online modules for employee Benefits Administration, Government, and Compliance. The successful candidate will consistently design compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that provide maximum value for employees while adhering to company policies, procedures, and culture.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate, analyze, and compare competitive benefits, compensation, and rewards programs to attract and retain employees and achieve organizational goals
- Oversee the enrollment, renewal, and delivery of benefits programs, such as medical, vision, dental, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans
- Plan and execute the implementation and administration of benefit plans, including annual open enrollment efforts
- Maximize the impact of wellness programs on health plan results, productivity, organizational performance, and employee quality of life
- Conduct analytical studies on various compensation areas to recommend strategies for employee engagement and retention
- Assist in the processing, administration, and analysis of the annual compensation review cycle, including merit letters and salary adjustments
- Contribute to the development and delivery of Total Rewards Statements to employees
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws such as ACA, COBRA, EEO, ERISA, HIPPA, FLSA, FMLA, and GINA
- Review and analyze worker's compensation claims, coordinating accommodations and facilitating successful return-to-work
- Collaborate with various departments to review cross-departmental impacts and facilitate data sharing
HRIS Scope – Benefits Administration (BEN)/Benefit to Carrier Feeds/ACA and Government and Compliance/Total Rewards Statement
- Collaborate in building and maintaining Benefits Administration and Government and Compliance modules, ensuring accurate plan configurations and updated information for carriers
- Utilize BEN module to provide employees with 24/7 access to benefit plan information, enrollment capabilities, and various calculators
- Maintain accuracy of benefit deductions during annual enrollment and qualifying life events using the BEN module
- Ensure compliance with COBRA regulations through the module's automatic checklist of action items
- Manage ACA data and automate filing of required IRS forms through the module
- Track and review FMLA, ACA, and OSHA forms through the module's tracking functionalities
- Assist in building ESOP functionality within the module
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required; advanced degree and/or professional certifications preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations, with a focus on designing and implementing compensation, equity, and benefits programs
- Ability to measure program effectiveness and recommend adjustments based on market trends and internal benchmarks
- Experience managing merit increase processes, salary structures, and incentive programs
- Strong professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive material
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS software
Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and other regulatory issues required
