Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

La Grande, OR | $370,000 to $390,000+ per year

This is a full-time, hospital-employed CRNA position with a regional medical center serving rural Eastern Oregon. The anesthesia department operates on a collaborative 1:4 MDA-to-CRNA model, with call shared across a team that prioritizes peer support and clinical autonomy. The schedule is four 10-hour day shifts per week, with a rotating call component, resulting in approximately 52 scheduled days off per year before PTO.

Compensation: $370,000 to $390,000+ base salary annually, plus quality incentive up to $40,000

What You'll Do

You will conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans for a varied surgical caseload that includes general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, and urology. Intraoperatively, you will administer general, regional, and MAC anesthesia and manage airway, fluid resuscitation, and medication titration in a well-supported OR environment.

Regional technique proficiency is central to this role. You will perform spinal, epidural, and peripheral nerve blocks with the backing of an MDA team. Post-anesthesia responsibilities include managing patient hand-offs to the PACU or ICU and maintaining accurate EMR documentation. You will also participate in quality incentive programs tied to clinical performance metrics.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program (DNP or DNAP)
• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license
• Current Oregon APRN authorization with CRNA certification
• Active NBCRNA board certification
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience with spinal, epidural, and peripheral nerve blocks

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a rural or critical access hospital setting
• Familiarity with anesthesia for OB/GYN cases including labor epidurals and cesarean delivery
• Experience with EMR systems in an OR environment
• Comfort with independent CRNA practice alongside physician anesthesiologist supervision
