Plymouth, MI | $55,000 to $65,000 Per Year

The Logistics Dispatcher coordinates transportation of customer freight to exact specifications with accuracy, courtesy, and strong service, supporting quality customer experience and continued account growth. This role requires a self-motivated professional who can think quickly, exercise independent judgment, and work with customers and delivery professionals in a courteous, professional manner daily. A successful Dispatcher balances the needs of professional car haulers with customer requirements, while staying focused on driver revenue and company profitability.

Schedule
Full time, on site at the Plymouth, MI facility.

Compensation
$55,000 to $65,000 per year, based on experience.

What You'll Do
The Logistics Dispatcher plans, coordinates, and manages loads in an efficient, cost effective manner, serving as the first point of contact for customers and professional car haulers. This includes managing the full dispatch process from load assignment through delivery, and resolving any issues that arise along the way. The Dispatcher maintains constant, professional communication with internal and external customers, monitors current orders to confirm accurate pickup and delivery, and works cross functionally to troubleshoot and resolve service issues as they come up.

Required Qualifications

• College degree, or one year of logistics experience, preferably in a trucking environment
• Strong oral, written, and electronic communication skills
• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Effective listening skills and strong customer service and resolution skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience
• Elog experience
• Relationship building experience with carriers or car haulers
