A leading Tier 1 automotive supplier is hiring a Plant Controller for its manufacturing facility near Anderson, SC. This role acts as a strategic business partner to plant operations, supporting leadership through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with corporate and accounting standards.

$90,000 to $135,000 per year, based on experience.

What You'll Do
This role partners with plant leadership to provide financial analysis and recommendations that support business decisions, leading plant-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities. The Controller analyzes manufacturing performance, costs, productivity, and profitability, preparing monthly variance analyses covering production output, material usage, scrap, labor, and operational costs, and supports monthly and annual financial closing activities.

The role develops contribution margin, profitability, and financial simulation analyses, identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies. The Controller monitors financial performance and provides actionable recommendations to improve results, ensures compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and US GAAP requirements, and supports the continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting and controlling processes. The role also prepares ad hoc analyses and presentations for management as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• 3 or more years of experience in manufacturing finance, plant controlling, or cost accounting
• Automotive manufacturing experience
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
• Strong understanding of plant operations, production costs, and manufacturing KPIs
• Knowledge of US GAAP and internal control processes
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and leadership teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience presenting financial analyses directly to plant and executive leadership
• Experience driving automation or process improvement in financial reporting
