A growing paper packaging manufacturer near Pryor, Oklahoma is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive lean manufacturing initiatives and cost reduction efforts across its paper mill and converting plant. This role leads problem-solving efforts using DMAIC methodology and partners with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.

Schedule
Full time, on-site.

Compensation
$105,000 to $130,000 per year, based on experience.

What You'll Do
The Continuous Improvement Manager coaches and drives the rigorous usage of lean manufacturing tools across the paper mill and converting plant, conducting quarterly loss analyses to identify top operational opportunities and align site action plans with high-impact improvements. This person leads cost savings and cost reduction initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, performs regular loss analysis data drilldowns to uncover key improvement opportunities, and serves as the primary problem-solving lead, guiding teams through complex challenges using the DMAIC process.

This role partners with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational discipline, and collaborates with leadership to ensure alignment of improvement initiatives with business objectives. The Continuous Improvement Manager also tracks, analyzes, and reports performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and lean principles
  • Proven experience driving continuous improvement initiatives in a paper manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams, build systems, and collaborate effectively within leadership teams
  • Hands-on, results-driven approach with the ability to influence change across the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI or SAP
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
