HVAC Service Manager

A leading HVAC mechanical company serving Central and Northern New Jersey is hiring an HVAC Service Manager to supervise and manage its commercial HVAC service department. This is a non-union position overseeing a team of 25 HVAC service technicians, with full responsibility for department scheduling, financial performance, and technician development.

Schedule
Full-time.

Compensation
$125,000 to $175,000 per year, plus bonus.

What You'll Do
This manager is responsible for scheduling, executing, billing, and completing service, warranty, and emergency jobs across the commercial HVAC service department. The role includes developing a P&L budget and meeting revenue and gross margin targets, along with performing monthly financial performance analysis, reporting results to management, and taking corrective action as needed. The manager oversees efficient asset management, including inventory and company service vehicles, and communicates directly with customers, vendors, suppliers, and technicians to execute plans and programs. This position also supervises, trains, and develops all 25 branch HVAC service technicians, and is responsible for building a high-performance culture through annual performance reviews and development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of experience leading and growing a commercial HVAC service department
• Experience developing and managing a P&L budget
• Experience supervising and developing a technician team
• Strong communication skills across customers, vendors, suppliers, and technicians

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) service operations
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards
• Background in HVAC operations management
