A custom kitchen and bath cabinetry company is hiring a Director of Sales to lead new business development while professionalizing its existing sales and design operations. This is a player-coach leadership role overseeing the company's cabinet and bath division, with additional oversight of the Trim Sales function. This person serves as the primary sales leader for builder relationships, ensuring consistent execution, strong pipeline management, and alignment with company standards for quality, service, and reliability.

$120,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
What You'll Do
The Director of Sales leads and develops the company's overall sales strategy, manages a team of 6 designers, and establishes a structured growth plan for both the Raleigh market and coastal North Carolina expansion. While this role is primarily focused on leadership and pipeline oversight, the Director of Sales steps into active cabinet design support when needed to ensure continuity for clients and builders. This person drives revenue growth while maintaining the quality and reputation the company is known for.
Required Qualifications
- Proven success scaling a sales operation to $2M or more in revenue
- 7 to 10 years of experience in cabinetry, kitchen and bath design, or construction related sales leadership
- Demonstrated success selling to residential builders in a relationship driven environment
- Deep understanding of custom kitchen and bath cabinetry, construction driven project flow, and jobsite flow
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a sales focused team
- Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple designers or a design team
- Experience operating in a custom build environment with shifting project timelines
- Background expanding sales into new or adjacent regional markets
