Family Medicine Physician

Compensation: $210,000 per year

A community healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join its health center in Long Island City, New York. This direct-hire position provides comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population spanning pediatric, adolescent and adult care, working in both a clinic setting and partner community sites to deliver full-scope family medicine, supervise advanced practice providers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to advance health equity and preventive care in the community.

Schedule
Full time, permanent, direct hire. Includes rotated shared call coverage.

Compensation
$210,000 per year guaranteed base salary.

What You'll Do

This role provides primary medical care, comprehensive well-care examinations, physicals and gynecological care across pediatric, adolescent and adult patient populations, diagnosing acute and chronic conditions, writing prescriptions and informing patients regarding prescribed treatment plans. The physician directs the course of patient medical treatment, answers clinical inquiries and manages electronic health record documentation, and supervises Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in accordance with collaborative practice agreements, providing clinical guidance and technical support. This position coordinates care through specialist referrals, case management, on-site behavioral health and community advocacy resources, and participates in rotated shared call coverage, peer reviews, clinical guideline development and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Active DEA registration
• Active, unrestricted New York State Medical License
• Active status as a New York State Individual Medicaid Provider (or ability to obtain during onboarding)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical Family Medicine experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish or other languages
