An educational institution is hiring a Nursing Program Director to lead its nursing education program. This role is responsible for overall administrative management, curriculum oversight, regulatory compliance, and academic excellence within the department, combining clinical expertise with teaching leadership and a focus on student achievement.

Compensation
$120,000 per year.

What You'll Do
This director oversees the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the nursing curriculum to ensure alignment with current healthcare industry standards, and ensures program compliance with national and state accreditation bodies, board of nursing requirements, and institutional standards. The role includes teaching courses and facilitating clinical or lab instruction as needed. This position recruits, hires, mentors, and evaluates nursing faculty and administrative staff, manages the department budget, resource allocation, and clinical facility partnerships, and leads faculty meetings, curriculum committees, and advisory board sessions. The director monitors student enrollment, retention, academic progression, and licensure and certification pass rates, and builds and maintains relationships with clinical sites, healthcare facilities, and community partners to support clinical placements. This role provides guidance and support to students navigating their academic programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching or instructing experience in an academic or clinical nursing education setting
  • Strong knowledge of state board regulations, accreditation standards, and nursing education practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to foster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership, administrative, or supervisory experience in nursing or nursing education

Compensation and Benefits
