THERAPEUTIC REHABILITATION SPECIALIST

$85-115K+ Full Benefits + Paid Relocation + Sign On Bonus

As a Therapeutic Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and delivering restorative and rehabilitative therapy services to individuals at our Center and in their homes. Working closely with the Primary Care Physician, rehabilitation team, and other members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), your goal will be to promote participant independence, safety, and functional improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the specific therapy needs, preferences, and goals of each participant
• Collaborate with the IDT to develop personalized care plans based on assessment findings
• Provide and document therapy interventions according to physician orders and care plans
• Utilize techniques, devices, and activities to enhance muscle re-education, cognitive function, balance, endurance, and overall independence in activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Supervise and train Therapy Assistants to implement Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP)
• Offer guidance and education to staff, participants, and caregivers/families regarding therapy strategies and techniques
• Facilitate smooth care transitions between different settings and contribute to end-of-life care coordination and support

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (AOTA & ACOTE standards)
• Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with frail or elderly populations
• Experience in a supervisory role, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, is preferred
• Registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as required by the state of employment
