Production Coordinator - Children's Apparel

The client designs, manufactures, and produces children's apparel for a wide range of retailers. They are seeking a Production Coordinator to serve as the connection point between the internal team and overseas manufacturing partners, ensuring product moves smoothly through production and meets specified requirements. Experience with children's apparel specifically is not required, but background in apparel, textiles, or consumer product production coordination is valuable.

Schedule

This is an in-office position, five days per week, based in New York, NY.

Compensation

$60,000 to $85,000 per year, based on experience.

What You'll Do

This person will act as the primary liaison between the internal team and overseas factories, tracking production status and communicating requirements clearly to manufacturing partners. The role involves monitoring the production pipeline from order placement through delivery, identifying potential delays or quality issues before they escalate, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to keep timelines on track. Strong problem solving skills are essential, as this person will need to anticipate issues and address them proactively rather than reactively.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in production coordination, production management, or a related supply chain role

• Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners or factories

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in office five days a week in New York, NY

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in apparel, textiles, or children's products manufacturing

• Familiarity with production tracking or ERP systems

• Experience working across time zones with international vendors
