Job Description
A well-established Wholesale Manufacturer of branded and licensed children's apparel in New York City is seeking a dynamic Production Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and efficient production process, overseeing everything from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products. They will collaborate closely with the production team, suppliers, and other departments to meet deadlines, maintain quality standards, and control costs.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, trims, and accessories.
  • Monitor and manage production schedules, working closely with the production team to ensure orders are completed on time.
  • Track and report progress updates to relevant departments.
  • Identify and address potential issues that may impact production timelines, effectively communicating with all involved parties.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to uphold product quality standards.
  • Coordinate logistics and shipping procedures for finished products.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Assist in implementing cost control measures to ensure profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in coordinating production, preferably in the apparel industry. Experience in children's apparel is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Availability to work in the office for 5 days per week.
