Job Title: Quality Control Engineer

Location: Waterloo, IA

Salary: $75-95K with potential for bonus

Summary of the Quality Control Engineer Role: As a member of the QA & Continuous Improvement team, the Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for implementing Quality processes, including the ongoing implementation of ISO-9001. This role will serve as a technical resource for Quality leadership, providing guidance and assistance with quality assurance-related issues.

Qualifications for the Quality Control Engineer:

  • Identify and utilize best practices in Quality Assurance and Manufacturing-related processes.
  • Contribute to the development of Quality process strategy and identify areas for improvement within the organization.
  • Evaluate industry requirements and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) to develop effective procedures and instructions.
  • Assist Quality teams and senior leadership to investigate and address quality issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and support projects within the High-Performance Team Board process.
  • Oversee the installation and implementation of ISO-9001 quality management systems.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO-9000 and internal auditing processes.
  • Experience with CORE, Lean, or Six-Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements in manufacturing, product, and customer quality processes.
  • Provide input and expertise in the development, application, and maintenance of quality control systems and protocols.
  • Facilitate the visualization and communication of process flows for stakeholders and teams.
  • Build relationships with leadership and team members to drive cultural change and implement organizational improvements.
  • Execute projects with strong project management skills and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Design and deliver solutions that align with organizational needs and add value to the company.
  • Demonstrate leadership and guide others towards operational results.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time.
