Quality Engineer
Job description:
- Analyze customer quality requirements and establish quality controls during New Product Introduction (NPI) phase.
- Drive quality improvement projects to improve production yield and reduce defects in mass production.
- Manage customer complaints, RMA, and quality feedback, ensuring effective corrective actions.
- Investigate product non-conformances and implement preventive measures.
- Manage supplier quality activities, including supplier audits, evaluations, corrective actions, and performance tracking.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data to management and customers.
- Lead ISO quality management system implementation, documentation, and audits.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, prevent defects, and improve production efficiency.
- Perform other quality-related tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a bachelors degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or related field.
- Previous experience in a quality engineering role within the EMS industry.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies, including statistical processcontrol (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Proficiency in quality management tools and techniques, such as 8D problem-solving, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Total Quality Management (TQM).
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO9001 & ISO14001.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relevant to EMS, such as IPC-A-610.
- Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or patterns to drive continuous improvement.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Positive attitude, maintain a high level of integrity and possess the ability to work independently.
