Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Supervisor 2nd Shift to lead quality assurance operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures while driving continuous improvement throughout the plant.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, hands-on food manufacturing quality experience, and a passion for building a culture centered around safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of QA Technicians by providing coaching, training, and performance support
- Ensure compliance with all Food Safety, SQF, GMP, and quality assurance standards throughout the facility
- Support and maintain the plant’s SQF certification program and ensure the facility remains inspection-ready at all times
- Monitor and validate quality performance across raw materials, production, packaging, and distribution processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on Quality at the Source and overall plant quality performance
- Conduct inspections, audits, and validations to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Identify production quality issues, troubleshoot root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Partner with Production, Packaging, and Operations teams to improve communication and operational efficiency
- Prepare reports and provide regular updates to management regarding quality metrics, compliance, and operational concerns
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of workplace safety, food safety, and facility cleanliness
