Technical Service Manager, Automation Field Service

Location: Atlanta, GA (Northeast metro area)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000 to $120,000 per year

Lead service, applications, and customer support for a global automation equipment manufacturer, combining hands-on troubleshooting with team leadership.

Must-Haves

• Hands-on technical leadership experience in automation, machinery, field service, or industrial operations
• 3+ years of leadership in field service, technical service, or technical operations
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• PLC and system integration experience
• Field service, installation, and commissioning experience
• Experience driving KPIs, continuous improvement, and 5S
• Strong customer-facing and cross-cultural communication skills

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily operations across Service, Applications, Customer Support, and technical testing
• Provide hands-on support with troubleshooting, installations, commissioning, and FAT/SAT
• Handle customer escalations
• Improve service response times, productivity, and workflows
• Set and track KPIs, priorities, and technical standards
• Lead onboarding, technical training, and team development
• Oversee repair and RGA processes, safety, and 5S
• Coordinate projects and improvements with international teams

Nice-to-Haves

• Siemens and EtherCAT experience
• Dispensing technology experience
• German or Spanish language skills or international team experience
• Degree in Mechatronics, Automation, or Electrical Engineering
• Salesforce, Asana, Microsoft Business Central, or SolidWorks

Compensation and Benefits

• $110,000 to $120,000 per year
