Production Control and Materials Assistant Manager, SAP

Location: McDonough, GA (On-site)
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Supports 1st and 2nd shift operations as needed
Pay: $80,000 to $100,000 per year

Play a key leadership role in launching a new automotive manufacturing facility, building production control and materials processes from the ground up.

Must-Haves

• Supervisory, team lead, or assistant management experience in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, MRP, and inventory control
• Hands-on ERP/MRP system experience
• Proficiency in Excel, production reporting, and data analysis
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to support both 1st and 2nd shifts during start-up

What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily and weekly production schedules based on demand and capacity
• Coordinate material planning to keep production running without interruption
• Partner with purchasing and warehouse to resolve shortages and supplier delays
• Oversee raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory accuracy
• Manage production orders and inventory transactions in SAP, MES, or similar systems
• Build production reports, inventory metrics, and KPIs
• Help build SOPs, workflows, and inventory controls during plant start-up
• Lead production control and materials staff across shifts
• Monitor customer delivery requirements and address risks early
• Back up the Production Control and Materials Manager

Nice-to-Haves

• 5+ years in production control, material planning, or inventory management
• SAP and MES experience
• Manufacturing start-up or new production launch experience
• Automotive supplier experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations Management

Compensation and Benefits

• $80,000 to $100,000 per year
• Leadership role in a new facility
