Accounting Manager, Food Service Distribution

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000 to $100,000 per year

Lead the accounting team that keeps a high-volume distribution business closing accurately and on time, and shape how the process runs.

Must-Haves

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including supervising a team in a high-volume transaction environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Working knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance
• Advanced Excel, plus working knowledge of Access
• Proven ability to lead a team through change
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexible to work extra hours at close and other deadlines

What You’ll Do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close as accounting manager
• Hire, train, coach and manage the performance of accounting staff
• Direct the teams handling general ledger, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets and capex accounting
• Perform and review complex reconciliations and account analysis
• Protect general ledger integrity and a strong internal control environment
• Recommend process improvements and set accounting policy
• Prepare audit schedules and work with internal and external auditors
• Build ad hoc reports and financial analysis for leadership

Nice-to-Haves

• CPA and/or MBA
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Business
• Food service distribution industry experience
• SAP experience

Compensation and Benefits

• $90,000 to $100,000 base salary
