Diesel Mechanic, Duramax Performance

Location: Harbor Beach, MI
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35 to $45 per hour, plus overtime at 1.5x
Relocation: Lump sum available for qualified candidates

Love diesel performance? Diagnose, repair, and modify Duramax trucks at an aftermarket performance shop with its own machine shop and custom parts line.

Must-Haves

• 3+ years diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks, vehicles, or heavy equipment
• Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical and electronic systems
• Engine and transmission R&R experience
• Ability to work independently and solve tough problems without constant direction

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, fuel, air, cooling, and drivability issues
• Perform major repairs, maintenance, component installs, and performance modifications
• Work heavily on Duramax diesel trucks
• Find root causes instead of throwing parts at symptoms
• Own each job from inspection through testing and final release
• Explain recommended work and identify when customer approval is needed
• Perform final quality checks to prevent comebacks
• Guide other technicians and help improve shop procedures
• Keep accurate records of findings, labor, parts, and test results

Nice-to-Haves

• ASE or diesel certifications
• Aftermarket diesel performance experience
• Tuning or custom fabrication experience

Compensation and Benefits

• $35 to $45 per hour
• Overtime at time and a half
