Fabric Assistant, Apparel Fabric Development

Pay: $40,000 to $45,000 per year

Must-Haves

• 0 to 2 years of experience in textiles or a related field
• Strong interest in textiles and apparel and eagerness to learn
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort communicating with mills, factories, and internal teams
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

What You'll Do

• Support fabric sourcing and development and follow up with suppliers
• Organize fabric samples, production samples, and records
• Prepare and maintain fabric charts for development and production
• Collect and upload FDS, test reports, and sustainability certificates
• Help create purchase orders for proto and sample yardage
• Communicate daily with mills and factories on sample status and deliveries
• Track fabric submissions, approvals, and production status
• Review fabric quality and color and share comments with suppliers
• Assist with shipping details, invoices, and general administrative tasks

Nice-to-Haves

• Knowledge of fabric terminology, construction, and fiber content
• PLM or product development system experience
• Degree or coursework in textiles, fashion, or a related field

Compensation and Benefits

• $40,000 to $45,000 per year
• Hands-on training in fabric development and production
