Industrial Engineer

The role of a Production Engineer is to analyze and optimize plant operations and workflow. They are responsible for designing, testing, and integrating systems to improve industrial production processes. The ideal candidate will be driven to enhance processes and lead projects to enhance product delivery methods.
Required Education and Work Experience
  • Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering is required
  • Prior experience in Aerospace Manufacturing is highly preferred
This particular position requires compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), hence applicants must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (as per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):
  • An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship, or
  • An individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder), or
  • An individual who is granted status as a "protected person"
Essential Functions
Successful candidates must be able to carry out the following activities, with or without reasonable accommodations:
  • Create and develop efficient manufacturing concepts to simplify processes and implement best practices
  • Monitor operations to identify areas for productivity and efficiency improvement
  • Ensure processes are designed to meet quality standards
  • Address production issues and minimize waste
  • Review production schedules, processes, and specifications
  • Analyze data to implement technological advancements in production processes
  • Apply appropriate industrial engineering techniques to solve wide-ranging problems
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for insights and guidance
  • Optimize layout and flow for maximum efficiency
  • Follow verbal and written instructions and accurately interpret technical specifications
  • Comply with established processes, procedures, and applicable regulations such as AS9100
  • Regularly attend work on-site at the designated location
  • Perform other assigned duties as required
Other Required Skills and Experience
  • Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications, along with other written materials such as customer contracts, purchase orders, and terms and conditions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Teams/SharePoint is preferred
  • Experience using an ERP system; Infor Visual experience is desirable
  • Proficiency in drafting software; familiarity with Catia V5 and/or Vericut is preferred
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials, specifications, and machining practices is advantageous
  • Understanding of processing/metal finishing requirements and specifications is a plus
  • Familiarity with AS9100 requirements is beneficial
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Requirements
  • Sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer
  • Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, including all buildings and the manufacturing areas
  • Regularly lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally climb steps, stairs, or ladders
  • Occasionally bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneel
  • Constantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts or other messaging, and email
  • Use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, mouse, or other peripherals
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a combination of locations including offices and the manufacturing shop environment where working conditions vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:
  • Occasional excessive noise
  • Occasional dust, smoke, and fumes/vapors
  • Occasional extreme temperatures
  • Occasional hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, complex machining centers, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment
The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and safety footwear is mandatory
