  1. Our team of Occupational Therapists is responsible for providing comprehensive and high-quality therapy services, focused on ensuring the overall health and well-being of our residents.
  2. Valid Occupational Therapy license specific to the state is a requirement.
Roles and Responsibilities -
  • Initiate and administer skilled occupational therapy treatments as directed by physicians; maintaining regular communication.

  • Create written evaluations, progress notes, MDS records, and discharge summaries for residents participating in the occupational therapy program.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to address specific needs and enhance rehabilitation or maintenance of function for residents.

  • Participate in Resident Care Planning meetings, providing valuable input and supporting the Director of Occupational Therapy in their absence.

  • Maintain accurate statistical records of residents' treatments.

  • Assist in conducting in-service training programs upon request.

  • Ensure resident care plans are recorded, updated, and adhered to.

Qualifications -

  • Completion of an approved occupational therapy program is mandatory.

  • Valid state license to practice occupational therapy is required.

  • Previous experience of two years in the field of occupational therapy is desirable.

  • Interest in providing occupational therapy treatments for the geriatric and subacute populations by working collaboratively in a team.

  • Ability to supervise and provide guidance to others is essential.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.

  • Maturity, diplomacy, and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues are important qualities.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and the capability to interact effectively with residents, families, and fellow staff members are required.

  • Ability to work in a friendly and supportive manner with geriatric and chronically ill residents, as well as other healthcare professionals.

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently perform assigned tasks to the highest standards of excellence.
