Process Engineer, Thermoplastics Manufacturing

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000 to $95,000 per year

Be the process engineering function at an established thermoplastics plant, owning improvements from data to implementation.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Manufacturing experience as a Process Engineer
• Proven ability to work independently with full ownership of process engineering
• Strong statistical and analytical skills, including process variation and standard deviation
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement experience
• Experience writing SOPs and work instructions
• Comfort working hands-on with operators, maintenance, and quality

What You’ll Do

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes as the plant’s primary process engineer
• Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes
• Use data and statistical analysis to evaluate production, process control, and quality
• Lead root cause and corrective action initiatives
• Remove bottlenecks and improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost
• Develop procedures and best practices for consistent operations
• Train employees on new processes and improvements
• Support digitalization and modernization of manufacturing

Nice-to-Haves

• Plastics, polymers, extrusion, or compounding experience
• Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree
• Manufacturing automation or digitalization experience

Compensation and Benefits

• $90,000 to $95,000 per year (flexible for exceptional experience)
• Potential for broader leadership responsibility
