Steel Sales Representative, Flat-Rolled Service Center

Location: Youngstown, OH (Lordstown area)
Job Type: Full-time
Travel: To customer locations as needed
Pay: $125,000 to $150,000 per year

Inherit a strong book of steel customers and grow it, with the freedom to build new business for a respected steel processor and distributor.

Must-Haves

• Account management, outside sales, or business development experience
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Ability to balance customer service with profitability
• Comfort with forecasting, pricing, and inventory planning
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Willingness to travel as needed

What You’ll Do

• Manage and grow an established portfolio of steel customer accounts
• Identify and win new business with profitable customers
• Conduct customer visits, sales calls, and presentations
• Negotiate pricing, volumes, and terms
• Coordinate inventory with purchasing and operations to meet demand
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and market updates
• Share sales and purchasing intelligence with leadership
• Monitor account performance for sustainable growth

Nice-to-Haves

• Steel service center, flat-rolled steel, or metals distribution experience
• Knowledge of flat-rolled products, pricing dynamics, and processing capabilities
• Experience selling to OEMs, fabricators, or manufacturers

Compensation and Benefits

• $125,000 to $150,000 per year
• Established accounts plus room to build new business
