This is a hybrid role that can be located in either Metairie or Baton Rouge, LA.
Job Overview:
As the Lead Financial Analyst, your key responsibility will be managing and optimizing our financial operations. This role involves crucial tasks such as reconciling the general ledger, analyzing accounting data, and assisting in monthly financial statement preparation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the billings process, including setup, preparation, and adjustments to automated billing systems.
  • Process change orders and perform necessary analysis.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable with the general ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze the accounts receivable aging report every month.
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries as required.
  • Assist in the monthly financial statement close process.
  • Enhance accounting controls by recommending policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Possess 2-5 years of accounting experience in medium to large-sized organizations or public accounting firms. Experience in Big 4 or regional/local public accounting firms will be advantageous!
  • Have experience with AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations. Familiarity with ASC-606 is a plus!
  • Preferred candidates will have a current CPA license or be in the process of taking the exam.
  • Experience working with enterprise ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or JDE will be preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. This role requires thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work in a dynamic setting.
  • Knowledgeable about industry standards and the competitive landscape.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and go beyond traditional responsibilities when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the construction industry or a similar contracting role would be highly advantageous.
